The
use of networking technology in schools and universities is
growing rapidly. As educators prepare their students to live and
work in our high tech world, they are adopting new and
innovative teaching and learning strategies, such as Internet
research, distance learning, and electronic information exchange
with peers around the globe. Since their technology expenditures
are funded by federal grants and taxpayer funds, educational
institutions require high value with low risk. To protect their
investment for years to come, they also need optimum flexibility
to make inexpensive, non-disruptive network changes.
