SEL warrants the FutureFLEX® products as per the LFI Agreement at the time of shipment, to be free of defects in material and workmanship. SEL's liability under this standard warranty shall terminate twenty-four (24) months after the date of shipment unless the installer or customer is approved for an extended warranty under an SEL fifteen (15) year 'Extended' warranty or the twenty-five (25) year 'Premium' warranty.

To apply for extended warranties, either the fifteen (15) year 'Extended' warranty or the twenty-five (25) year 'Premium' warranty, the following criteria and documentation must be approved by SEL.

NOTE: Until documentation is in effect and approved by SEL, only the twenty-four (24) month warranty is in force.

Two (2) Year Standard Warranty

SEL warrants the FutureFLEX products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of shipment.

Fifteen (15) Year Extended Warranty

SEL warrants the FutureFLEX products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of fifteen (15) years from the date of shipment.

This warranty is available for installations utilizing FutureFLEX tube cables and fiber bundles and which have been accepted by SEL into the Extended Warranty Program.

The following is a list of items that must be submitted for application for this warranty

  • Complete the Warranty registration Form on the FutureFLEX website and submit to SEL.
  • Testing data for the Obstruction and Pressure Test for each tube and tube cable in the system.
    • Sample Test Data Sheets are available on the website.
    • Original handwritten test results from the field are required; typed results are not acceptable.
  • Electronic copies of OTDR Readings with viewing software and fiber spans identified per As-Built Drawing.
    • Bi-Directional measurements are required at the highest wavelength
  • All software required to run or view the test data must accompany the application.
  • Copies of as built drawings must be submitted to SEL via electronic or hard copy to SEL. (Drawings must be in AutoCAD or Visio)
  • Submit copies of purchase invoices for the FutureFLEX products used in the installation. ( Hard copies only )

Twenty-Five (25) Year Premium Warranty

SEL warrants the FutureFLEX products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date of shipment.

This warranty is available for installations utilizing FutureFLEX tube cables, fiber bundles, fiber termination equipment and which have been accepted by SEL into the Extended Warranty Program.

The following is a list of items that must be submitted for application for this warranty

  • Complete the Warranty registration Form on the FutureFLEX website and submit to SEL.
  • Testing data for the Obstruction and Pressure Test for each tube and tube cable in the system.
    • Sample Test Data Sheets are available on the website.
    • Original handwritten test results from the field are required; typed results are not acceptable.

For the Extended Warranty and the Premium Warranty programs, SEL will evaluate the data supplied by the LFI. SEL engineers will review the data and make a determination as to whether the installation will be accepted and an extended warranty granted.

Once this determination is made, if the application is accepted SEL will issue a warranty certificate to the LFI in the name of the end-user.

If the application is rejected, a letter explaining the reason for the rejection will be issued to the LFI who applied for the extended warranty.
